No. 03 How it works
Every piece follows the same road, and most of it happens by email before you ever sit down.
Send the idea, placement, rough size and any references through the booking form. Chris replies by email. Larger pieces and cover-ups get an in-person look before anything is drawn.
Chris draws the piece for you, for your placement, at your size. Your references set the direction; the drawing is his take on them, usually with a surreal, animated streak.
A deposit holds your date; the amount is confirmed when you book. Eat first, drink water, sleep, skip alcohol for twenty-four hours and bring a government ID. Big pieces can take more than one sitting.
Two to three weeks of surface healing: fragrance-free soap, a thin layer of unscented moisturizer, no sun, soaking or gym. Follow the instructions Chris gives you at your appointment.

Chris works all styles, and prefers illustrative, neo-traditional and new-school. He's drawn to fun, surreal images with an animated, whimsical feel: animals with personality, botanicals, pet portraits, cartoon characters, and objects doing things they shouldn't. Color and black-and-grey both show up throughout the portfolio, and he'll happily combine styles in one piece.
It's quoted at your consultation, because the price depends on size, placement, level of detail, color versus black-and-grey, and how many sessions the piece needs. Rates and the shop minimum are confirmed when you book. A deposit is required to hold your appointment; the amount is confirmed when booking. Budget ranges on the form help scale the design.
Powerline Tattoo is appointment-only, so walk-ins aren't the way to get tattooed by Chris. Same-week openings are worth asking about, though: send a booking request and ask for the earliest available date. If you're on a short timeline, say so in the timing field and keep the idea flexible; a simpler design is easier to fit in.
