Can I get tattooed by Chris if I don't live in Rhode Island?

Yes. Send the booking form from wherever you are with your idea, placement, rough size, budget range and references. Chris replies by email and the design conversation happens before you travel. Say where you're coming from in the timing field, so dates can line up with your trip instead of fighting it.

Cover-ups and large pieces still need an in-person look before anything is promised, so plan those as a consultation visit plus a session visit, or ask in the form whether photos are enough to start the conversation.

What's the closest airport to the shop?

Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport (PVD) in Warwick, about fifteen minutes from the chair by car or rideshare. Boston Logan (BOS) is the big-hub alternative, about an hour away by car, with direct flights from most of the country and a train connection to Providence.

Can I get there by train?

Yes. Amtrak's Northeast Regional and Acela stop at Providence station, and so does the MBTA commuter rail from Boston. From the station, the shop is about a ten-minute drive or rideshare down Route 10 to Reservoir Avenue. Coming up from New York, the train is often easier than I-95.

How far is the drive?

Southern New England is closer than people think: about an hour from Boston, fifty minutes from Worcester, and an hour and a quarter from Hartford or the Cape. New York is a three-hour run up I-95. All of it ends on Reservoir Avenue in Cranston, with street and lot parking near the shop.

Times are give-or-take traffic, and I-95 through Providence has a rush hour like anywhere. The shop sits on Route 2 (Reservoir Avenue) near the southern end of Route 10, so the last mile is easy from any direction.

Where should I stay?

Downtown Providence puts you about ten minutes from the shop with the restaurants and the walkable city around you; the hotels near T.F. Green in Warwick are about fifteen minutes out and easiest if you fly. Either way the ride to the chair is short, so pick the evening you want, not the commute.

Can I fly home the day after a session?

Travel itself is fine; a fresh tattoo needs the same care in an airport as anywhere else. Keep it clean and moisturized per your aftercare instructions, wear loose clothing over it, and skip the pool, beach and hot tub while it heals. If your plans allow, a buffer morning is a kindness to yourself.

1. Send the booking request first. Book the tattoo before the travel. Send the form with your idea, placement, rough size, budget range and references, and say where you are coming from in the timing field. Settle the design and the date over email, then buy tickets.
2. Build the trip around the session. Arrive the night before if you can, and come rested, fed and hydrated; skip alcohol for twenty-four hours before the session. Stay downtown in Providence or near the airport in Warwick, both a short ride from the shop.
3. Come prepared to sit. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID, your references, clothes that leave the placement easy to reach, and whatever keeps you comfortable for a few hours: water, a snack, headphones, a charger.
4. Protect the tattoo on the way home. Follow the aftercare instructions from your appointment: keep it clean and moisturized, loose clothing over it, and no sun, pools, beaches or hot tubs while it heals. A buffer morning before a long trip home never hurts.
